NEWS

December 21, 2007
  • Just in time for Christmas, "The Coventry Carol".
  • December 13, 2006
  • It's a new "non-release", a full-length downloadable album called The Scorpion Strikes. Recorded in 2004-2005, it's fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.
  • December 11, 2006
  • Wishing you a Happy Holidays whether you want it or not, here's something we like to call "Christmas Merry Christmas" with apologies to a certain band from Birmingham.
  • November 26, 2006
  • New X-Mas track! "Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella"!
  • March 05, 2006
  • The latest in our series of downloadable releases is Enemy From Space Conquers the Universe, subtitled "An Enemy From Space Odyssey". This is the EFS's tribute to 70s German Kosmische Musik, and it is over an hour of journeying through the dark-tinged ether of Yuggoth. (Figuratively speaking.) So lean back on the space cake and prepare to taste the colors of your mind.
Warning: The tracks are long, so the files are large.
  • February 27, 2006
  • At long last, Plastic. The second in our series of downloadable releases is now available, and it's the long-heralded Plastic Orpheus. Recorded simultaneously with the Condition of Music CD, Plastic Orpheus is a concept album, the soundtrack to a fictitious novel of the same name, with each track representing a chapter of the book. This downloadable version of the album is presented through the courtesy of Smiley Jones Records.

  • The Enemy From Space and Smiley Jones Records think that downloadable music is killing the record industry. So to help it along, they've decided to make a series of Enemy From Space releases available online for free. First off is the Lo-Fi Sci-Fi EP, a little collection of short pieces from the late 90s. Go get it, and as you enjoy the soothing strains of the EFS sound, consider your decision to download this release as a blow against the corporate music empire.
  • January 15, 2006
  • Here's an unfinished, untitled song from a current work in progress featuring the pop feel appeal of tomorrow.
  • Canard, the EFS's friend and sometime coconspirator (Ultraboy, Newsboy Legion, Electric Lawnchair), now has a new site featuring at least one Song of the Week from his massive storehouse of tunes. Canard has been recording music for over 2 decades, and what a long strange trip it's been, with emphasis on strange. Do yourself a favor and discover this unique talent before he discovers you.
  • January 04, 2006

The music is written by the Residents, administered by Pale Pachyderm Publishing, all rights reserved.

To the right is a Resident, as portrayed by Phoebe.
